Um, no, not really. But, you know, when one or two characters have no sense of humor, you can have plenty of ROFL moments, maybe more than otherwise; but when nobody has any sense of humor whatsoever, even LOL moments are rare. Interesting. Anyway, Doug wants to average an episode a night. We're only on 2. Sheesh. I think I'm gonna start Rurouni Kenshin, and then I can watch that the rest of the time.
Tomorrow we're going to town. I've done my chores in advance. This'll be the first time I've been to the library since the Colorado Springs libraries. Gonna have to stock up.......as if they'll last. Mmmm. Mercedes Lackey, hopefully Patricia C. Wrede, can't think of anything else.
Coming out this September: Full Metal Panic: Fighting Boy Meets Girl on the 11th; Making Money by Terry Pratchett on the 18th; and Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley on the 20th. You just gotta laugh at the FMP title. Which is the point, of course. I've been thinking about the liklihood of their coming out in hardback first, which would be a pain, 'cause it'd come out to something like forty-five bucks. Come to think of it, is that the English release date or the American for MM and Dragonhaven? Hmm, how many things can we think of to worry about?

Wheeeee! Robin's joined the crew! Vivi is in Arabasta now, for good. Episode 128 has a really good ending, which doesn't occur anywhere else: Family, sung by the Straw Hats--the voice actors for the pirates. Very cool! Radioblog does not, alas, have it. Anyway, we've reached Ruruka Island, and Luffy, Zoro, Robin, and Usopp are in Ape Concert. What's interesting is that we seem to have seen the Pumpkin Pirate kids before--as Marines pursuing the Straw Hats. Marines as old as Henzo is, and they ought to be.
Tomorrow we go to town. We'll have to go to B's first, for two reasons. The first is that Peter and Owen are spending the night there, and we have to pick them up. The second is that the water heater is shot, and since Dad's gone to Montana to work we'll have to pay someone to install a new one as well as buy the heater in the first place. This means that we're heating water on the stove for dishes and baths, and showers are impossible. Thus we have to go to B's to shower. Good thing tonight is Mom's last class before summer vacation. Then no more teaching until July.

Yeah! We finished shearing yesterday! That's a relief. No more shearing until next spring (not counting crutching), and then we'll even have fewer victims, because Val will be gone and Tag, his replacement, is a hair sheep. Shedding, not shearing. Sweet.
Further good news: the library finally has Wintersmith, the third book by Terry Pratchett about Tiffany Aching and the Nac Mac Feegles (see The Wee Free Men and A Hat Full of Sky). Peter is reading the second one presently, and Mom should bring the third home tonight. With any luck I'll have finished it before we get to the library tomorrow. I'm thinking more Josephine Tey (I reread The Singing Sands last night) and possibly some Dorothy Gilman (as in Mrs. Pollifax).
I'm on One Piece Episode 27. There's some lovely trash talking in here.Luffy's very good at that, and he does it in such a way that sometimes we're not sure whether he means to make 'em mad or not. Anyway, 28 should have loaded by now, so I'm off.

This is ridiculous.
I have a ram lamb. He's nearly two months old, he weighs more than thirty pounds, by all common sense I should be able to wean him from the bottle. Can I? No. Why? Because he doesn't know how to drink from a bucket. He's been out there in the pasture with multiple animals whose example he could learn from. He's been on two feedings a day as long as he's been out there. He should have learned. He hasn't. Is this lamb stupid? It doesn't usually seem like it. Grrr.
On a much happier note, tomorrow is Friday. I live for Fridays. Friday is my favorite day of the week. On Friday Mom, at least one brother, and I go to town. We go to the library. I get new, unread books to read instead of what I got last week and probably finished by Sunday night, if I had a lot. If I don't have a lot I'm rereading on Saturday. I'm planning to get some more Josephine Tey, and if we go to the downtown library I'll get the Immortals quartet. I'm still not sure about Redwall, though.
Yesterday, plowing through Miss Snark's archives, I found a post about TIME magazine's Hundred Best Novels Since 1923. My score? Five. Not counting Gone with the Wind, because I skipped over a lot in the last third or so. Eh.
Okay, I need to go do my schoolwork or I won't be able to go to the library after all.
